Harbhajan Yogi Ji

Yogi Bhajan

Harbhajan Singh Khalsa Yogiji is known to many as Yogi Bhajan.

In 1932 he was born in what is now Pakistan. At the young age of 16 his master, Sant Hazara Singh, pronounced him to be a Master of Kundalini Yoga.

Yogi Bhajan departed India for the USA and Canada in 1968. The following year he began to teach Kundalini Yoga (KY) to the public. Until then this highly dynamic and powerful yoga had been kept under wraps in India.

He was an exceptional human being, with a penetrating understanding of the human condition. He founded KY institutions, put together specific KY events and published a comprehensive body of KY teachings.

Furthermore, he founded the 3HO organisation which is representative of the three H's of his philosophy: 'healthy, happy, holy' as the natural state attainable by anyone.

Yogi Bhajan is also considered to be sole teacher permitted to teach White Tantric Yoga.

Yogi Bhajan passed away in 2004. The following year the United States House of Congress passed a resolution in honour of Yogi Bhajan and his extensive body of work.
